Introduction to Shamanism – Sunday 27thNovember 2011
This workshop is designed for the complete beginner and will allow you to know a
little more about shamanism.
You will find your Power Animal, an animal that has been
with you since birth and acting as a protector and guide.
You will learn about the
medicine wheel, and how the whole universe is contained within it. You will learn
which elements live in each direction and how the Shaman uses it to heal.
Learn about
how the Shaman journeys to find his connection to the spirit world and Steve will
show you a few techniques to show your power within.
This workshop will be delivered
by Steve Ballantyne who has many years experience as a Shaman. Steve was trained
at the Edinburgh Shamanic Centre and as well as delivering workshops, he conducts
Soul Retrieval, Extraction and other healing practices as well as Reiki and Emotional

Crystal Workshop -
I’m really pleased to say that the first of the workshops at Merchant’s House is now organized. I’m starting with a Crystal Workshop run by the lovely Lyn Haworth. This course is an introduction to crystals and for those interested, there will be a follow up day around October time. I hope this is of interest to you – please let me know if it is.

Weight Loss Groups
I am now running Weight Loss Groups. Why not lose weight the easy way instead of counting calories and denying yourself your favourite foods? These groups run for 4 weeks and cost £15 per person per week. Individual sessions are also available to tackle any specific issues you may have too.

Yoga
Sally Roach is now holding Yoga classes in my offices at Merchant’s House. A new block of classes will start on Thursday 23rd June, 6pm – 7.15pm.
As Sally says: Yoga is so much more than stretching. Yoga invites us to rest the mind, to feel into our body and listen to the wisdom of our heart.
Each posture is a delicious opportunity to release mentally, physically and emotionally and find the integration we long for. Connect with the breath to settle the mind and allow the awareness to fill the whole body. Open out into the spaciousness around and feel the gathering back to the strength of the core. Drop the weight of the body down into the earth and feel the opposing forces rebounding back to create support, to lighten and ultimately to release into stillness.
This is a mixed class and beginners are welcome. Come as you are. You don't have
to be Madonna ...just curious. Yoga classes are in blocks of 4 and cost £24 per person
